Our Journey’s Road...

2010

Life is often described as a journey.  Rightfully so as no metaphor seems as poignant.  A day breaks and preparations are made, expectations fill the spirit and the door to the known and unknown, triumphs and failures, foot paths and roadways lies beyond.

Tolkien wrote, “It's a dangerous business... going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.””

This has certainly proven to be true for us as our road has taken us on a journey of unexpected joys, sorrows, adventures, and challenges.  But, no matter the point along the journey, God has shown His presence in our lives.   We celebrated 13 years of marriage this year.  Each year we have collected more memories and more experiences, finding that our love has only deepened and grown stronger.  Five years ago this November, our prayers were answered and the beautiful daughter we long awaited enter our hearts and homes.  Sara Graceanna LiXian Wilson is now 6 years old and the joy, grace and love of our lives.  We are now on a journey for our second daughter and Gracie’s  mei mei, Emma.

Since leaving teaching and stepping through that door into the unknown our travels have taken us to living in the Caribbean and England.  Now, in 2009,  our journey takes us to city living in New York City.

Through these pictures, ramblings, and more we hope you enjoy our stories from the road.

Stories from the Road...

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.

~Winston Churchill
